Got the same phone call this morning. Had one similar phone call last year and so I contacted my accountant, but they reassured me that the ATO do not make recorded threatening phone calls like the one I got.

Phoned me in Brisbane. Same threatening Scam as above. First said from the police calling on behalf of ATO then on call back claimed to be ATO.

Same as above...phone number say they are from ATO and threaten legal action or report from Federal Police...

Scam, its amazing that our government lets these criminals get away with this.

Threatening message - blocked caller. Scam

This is a particularly disgusting scam, These people pretend to be from the ATO and threaten court cases, arrest, imprisonment etc if no immediate action is taken. My 89 year old mother was very frightened by it.

Just called claiming to be from the tax office. ATO is aware of this scam

Yep same as above. Very Threatening and when you call back straight away (star69) it rings out. Wish I could block these on my landline.

Also received same message this morning. It says at the end...don't ignore!
Quite threatening...and quoted a file number to say when ringing back the above number.
