Caller: Said they were Telstra

Tried to tell me they were from Telstra and my internet IP had been compromised - did I know what compromised was? Far out. Anyway - I told him I wasn't with Telstra and if my IP was compromised then my carrier would contact me. Rambled on saying he would give me his Telstra ID #. I said you could give me any number you want - doesn't mean jack..So then he tried to say ok - I will send a technician out to your home and it will cost you $200 for them to fix your internet. He wanted me to write down some information to secure my IP address. Never give any info to anyone - if there are issues with your internet - call Telstra yourself. I'm not even with Telstra and I confirmed with my carrier that they would contact me direct.
