this number called and said a family member was in a car accident

my unlisted number was called several times but hung up when I answered the phone

My unlisted number has been called about 5 times over the last few weeks. Caller had a foreign accent and announced that his name was Peter and said something about a member of our family being involved in a car accident, which is untrue. We told him in no uncertain terms not to call us again. We shall see.

Me to 5mins ago. Said I was in a car accident.. I told him I wasn’t and he got very angry and hung up

Called me and when I answered, they waited then hung up !

Hung up when answering machine cut in, thought I check as didn't recognise number.

Just hung up

Said that I have just had an accident recently - which is not true. Then she hung up.

Caller with foreign accent, missed his and company name, said "somebody at this address has had an accident". I replied "I've had at least 10 calls over the last 12 months claiming the same thing" The last time you rang me you hung up, that is very unprofessional also I am in the Do Not Call register and you are soliciting business - that is illegal in this country, therefore you are a scammer. I want your phone number, company ABN and your employee ID". He hung up.

Also an unlisted business number, and they hung up after I answered with my business name. Maybe they are looking to scam residential numbers... very annoying though.

Caller stated that you had an accident recently. You say “no” etc etc and with your response they try and feed info out of you. Scam caller. Haven’t had accident for over 20 years.

They ring our business all the time, foreign accent with the old "you've been in an accident" scam trying to get personal information. I've made up long winded stories for them, passed away from my injuries still they keep calling . Last call I just kept saying Hello, hello, hello till I ticked him off.

Indian call center asking if you've been involved in an accident. This number was calling numbers at my work in sequential order (wardialing).

Scam callers.

Foreign accent "this is Peter from" indistinguishable company name. When I asked him to repeat where he was from - he swore and hung up.
