Continues to call my work number saying we will be arrested- apparently everyone I work with will be arrested.
Very aggressive if you ask questions- does provide a good laugh though.

Same message. It's time sensitive with regards to a lawsuit. Damn! There goes my plans for world domination.

Same as the others on this page. What I can't understand is why Telstra can't investigate the number given. If my relationship with this telco was a happy one, I would ring and report it, but I don't have the time or inclination to be put on hold and transferred to an overseas operator who doesn't give a toss.

I've also had a call that was obviously a recording stating they are from the taxation department and making the same claims as previous reports. Why can't these people be identified and charged?

Got the recorded message as follows on my answering machine, 'hard and legal consequences if you don't call back'. The sarcastic 'good luck' at the end of the message. Has to be a scam. annoying cant seem to block phone numbers on a land line.

Left a threatening message. No personally identifiable information was included, clearly a scam/robocall.

If it looks and sounds like a scam must be a scam, I did not call back.

Just received a call my daughter passed me the phone so I didn't get all the message. I rang back when I asked who was calling they told me the Australian Taxation Department so I then asked what is your name. The man then said who the hell are you you b.... When I laughed he then said some other not very nice things. Unfortunately I can't block anymore numbers on my phone as its reached the limit but I'm getting pretty tired these calls are a harassment and a stop should be put to them straight away. You never know who we should take seriously anymore

Very first time that a scammer has actually left a message on our answering machine - called at around 10 AM AET, female American accent, no background noise so definitely pre-recorded, warning of "serious legal consequences". Didn't use my name, so I am 100% that it would be a scam: not calling them back.

Returned a call to a pre-recorded message. Claim to be ATO issuing a warrant for arrest ... police will be at your door in 45 min if you don' pay overdue tax. 3994 to be exact. The guy was annoyed when I pressed for details, got my address wrong (I did not offer the right one).
