Called claiming to be from the ATO and that a case was being filled against me and wanted me to call them back

I called back number (02) 4204 8224 rang once then goes to busy tone.

they left a message saying that if I didn't call back they will send the police to arrest me. I called back and they hung out immediately.

I got the same msg claiming to be from the ATO that there was legal action against me and that if I didn't call back, they would issue a warrant and arrest me! LOL! I called back and some woman answered claiming to be the legal Dept of the ATO, but then the call cut off.

Called around midday. When I didn't answer, received a text saying "The reason behind this call is that there is a lawsuit getting filed under your name. The moment you received this message I want you to get back to me."

Beware of these scammers threatening to say the least

Left robo voice message saying that I had to call them back or I would be arrested. Total Scam! Same message left on my phone last week from a blocked number.

got this number called but only rang once. Googled and found all these complaints about this number here.

From the information posted here, it seems scammer used automatic device to make random calls and if you answer or called back, they confirm an active number.

Got the same call as the others today robotic american voice saying they are calling from ato and i need to call them back or an arrest warrant would
be issued. I also received a voice mail saying same thing a few weeks back. So fake it’s laughable, didn’t bother calling back. If ATO was calling it wouldn’t be a robotic pre recorded anerican voice, it would be a real life person!

Claims to be ATO .... when queried about who they were .... hung up . I called them back ..... total scam .

I didn’t recognise the phone number so I let it go to voicemail. Like the others, similar robot scam caller saying that I will be arrested. I would have rather talked to a human scammer so I can laugh at their rubbish call.

Caller left a voicemail (in an automated voice) asking to call back or they will issue a warrant for me. What a joke! Do not call back.

Received a voice message by a Text-to-speech male robot pretended to be calling om.
"<something has been> filed under your name. The moment you receive this message I want you to get back to me on my department division number *(02) 4204 8224*. No if we dont hear from you we have to issue arrest warrant under your name and have you arrested. So get back to us as soon as possible".That's just rubbish. Called back but rang once and hung up.

Robo call scam claiming to be from ATO.

The voicemail says there is a Lawsuit that is filed in my name and if I din't call there will be an arrest warrant in my name. Jerks !
