I rcvd notice on PC that it had been locked and I could not close the window on screen. On screen mssge to call this nr to unlock PC. Lady answered without identifying company put me thru to 1st available operator. I asked company and location said he was Microsoft Helpdesk in America. Would require remote access to my PC to fix problem. Alarm bells rang and I terminated call.

DO NOT GO TO ANY WEBSITE THAT THEY REQUEST AND DO NOT FOLLOW WHAT THEY ASK YOU TO DO!!
DO NOT GIVE THEM ACCESS TO COMPUTER OR PERSONAL INFO!!!
IF YOU CALLED THEM AND GAVE THEM PERSONAL INFO OR ACCESS TO COMPUTER, TURN OFF COMPUTER IMMEDIATELY AND PHONE A LOCAL AUSTRALIAN COMPUTER TECHNICAN ASAP FOR HELP!!!
IF YOU GAVE THEM VISA OR MASTERCARD OR SIMILAR BANK CARD DETAILS, ASK BANK TO CANCEL CARD AND REVERSE ANY TRANSACTION IMMEDIATELY.
CHANGE ANY PASSWORDS IMMEDIATELY IF PROVIDED TO THEM.

computer locked up rang the number an indian guy answered and wanted to remote access my computer by using a run app dont run the app im tipping its a virus told him to f*ck off 100% scammers

I called number on screen after msg came up on screen saying it was blocked. Frank answered very foreign typed in iexplore microtechassist.com nd he took over screen. He wanted me to pay $300/3 years $400/5 years or $700/ lifetime. I said I can't afford it nd he was getting irate. I hung up nd found I could turn off computer.

My computer locked up saying Trojan Spyware. Rang number on screen did not identify who they were but stated Microsoft Support when asked. Required remote access, unfortunately I allowed this then they stated I should get protection and gave a list of costs. I hung up.
