Didn't recognise number, didn't answer, no message left. Anybody else getting calls from this number?

I have received 7 calls from number (02) 5133 5240 plus the 40 changed to 42,39,36,35,37. Isn't there something which can be done to these pests? IThere is always a silent space so I just hang up.

Caller: Kindness Project

Pretty sure it's a scam. Didn't answer numerous calls from very similar numbers (which I then blocked) but decided to answer this one as I wanted to know who it was. They knew my name and address. Said they were doing a survey for the Kindness Project and wanted further details. I told them I wasn't comfortable giving them more details and hung up.

Caller: Calling for charities australia

After a big delay and a loud (overseas) click she was calling for some charities of Australia - probably hacked an ACT number to do so, just blocked this number like the rest of them. Telstra isn’t doing a good job of blocking these numbers lately. Seem to be getting them every day now

Caller knew my name and wanted to survey me on community attitudes but soon I could see the questions were heading towards finding me a charity that I would be happy to donate to. I told her not to waste any more of my time and hanged up. I've had lots of missed no message calls from similar numbers in preceeding weeks and now I realise they are giving legitimate charities a bad name.

7 th call from a 02 5133 52 - - number. Always the same. No message left and always engaged when you call back. What a waste of everyone's time.

Keep getting calls from 02 5133 52 _ _ (last two numbers different every time. Haven't answered any of them, on my phone they say (City, Australian Capital Territory)

I receive calls from this number variation every day, sometimes twice a day - 02 5133 52XX (the last two digits change every time they call). The XX has been 40, 45, 36, 42, 29, 38. I have lodged complaint on the 'do not call register'.

Caller: Overseas person

+6125133240, 234, 242, 235, 243, claiming to be a Kindness survey. Very hard to understand caller,very apologetic about 7am call 4th day in a row. Looking for more info about me. I always disguise my voice .

my mobile says call is coming from City, Australian Capital Territory, which to me seems dodgy, why isn't it Canberra, ACT? Just don't answer

Left it ringing a while and when I answered it no one there and no msg left

So sick of these scam callers. My voicemail no longer has my last name took that off years ago so scammers can’t get my name. Also any social media same no surname and I’ve not been in the phone book for years. Love to know how they get our numbers.. possibly random dialling.
