These guys say that they are from Windows as well as Microsoft. Same spiel though and often day after day. Except today, when this number came up, it has been showing as a private number. Very,very annoying!!!!!

i got a call last night, one of many over the last month of so but last night they picked up. so i proceeded to ask the guy how he slept at night and why they were trying to rip ordinary people off. The conversaion got quite heated and he politely told me my address and said we know where you live.
not sure that getting angry does any good but getting those calls all the time just sucks. My 88 year old mother inlaw gets them as well, every week and she tells them that she has never owned a computer.

Told them that I had their IP address and if they would give me their login and password I would get our tech people to fix their problem for them.
They hung up real quick...:-)

They are still @ it - we have rcv'ed several calls from them again in the last few wks and I just listen.....silence. I think it confused their stupid addled brains!

Last yr I told them it was their fault my pc had a virus and it was now in the tech shop and I would be sending them the bill.

9927773456 called, scammers, when asking who is looking for, caller gave me a wrong name and address.... even that he still want me to give him my computer access

Recieved 2 calls from them today and 1 last year. I had heard about this scam so I let the caller go through his spiel and the i told him he must be a crook as I don't own a computer.

Said they were Microsoft Tech Support.
i said "Nice try" and hung up.
They had my full legal name, not the name I am known by.

This is getting very annoying so how can Telstra trace the call and bust these people?

These people are absolutely stupid, anyone with basic computer knowledge can see right through this ploy. I let their little scam play out for a bit to see what they wanted and they tried to tell me that they are recieving error messages from my computer and they wanted to check that my copy of windows was genuine.

This is obviously a scam so i urge everyone who reads this to please give this number to all your friends and family and warn them against these scammers. Their goal is to get into your computers and log your keystrokes among other things and they will ultimately try to steal your bank details if not your whole identity.

DONT FALL FOR THEIR BULLsh*t!!!

Get at least 2-3 calls everyday for the last week.
Comes up as overseas.

Received several calls from this number claiming to be Microsoft support really getting over these hacker calls happens at least once a week

This number has called my home line 3 times. When we answer there is no one there. Never amswering this call again.

answered phone, overseas accents in back-ground but no-one responding to me saying hullo, aware that it's a scammer as they've phoned several times before but no conversation.

The caller tried my home office first a few times. It went to message bank. Then they tried the home number and was told to ring this morning. This morning I answered and said there were no virises that I work in IT and the caller hung up. Trust they got the message!!!

They are scammers trying to access your computer. "You have a virus". All people who read this, do not speak to them or especially give access to your computer at all, you do not know what they will do to it. Also note that another number who has called me, 18774667164. They are also scammers. Check the number on a search engine on your computer, like you did for this number...

went to message bank- husky voice that appeared to be saying 'na-one there' . Caller hung up.

This was a computer hacker. They have been trying me on another number. They ring me at least daily but I never answer. Got the better of me today, so I just put the phone down. He hung up after six minutes lol. Hope he gives up!!!!!!!

This caller was a spammer/hacker trying to get details from my computer.
