I never answer a call if I dont know the number. If its important - and for me specifically - they can leave a message or text me. I've been doing this for years and have never had a problem with it.

They call on lots of different numbers (with the same prefix). I block them but they then get through on another number. They never say anything. Creepy. And stupid...what are they getting out of this?

Left me a voice mail with 'hello' and that was it, tried calling again 3 hours later but I didn't answer - have now blocked the number due to the comments above, and all comments saying the same thing at https://www.numberlookup.com.au/number/0845623450

Caller was asking for my 11 year old by full name saying it was in regards to an accident on the road that her school is. When number was called back it was disconnected.....the man was indian or believed to be.

Scam caller. Tells you that you've been involved in a car accident. "They will help you get compensation because they work through the major insurers". They do require an upfront payment to start you claim. there's a surprise.
This s simply a variation of the "Nigerian Scam"
