Apparently my data meter was broken and I got a message saying they had fixed it and would be charged for usage from now on. The strange thing I was getting free internet I rang Telstra they knew nothing about it. I think this is malware used by the police to conduct surveillance.

Received a message today from TELSTRA. When I hit the phone hanset icon it dialed 8357872. The recorded message was this number has been disconnected.

Been receiving texts from "Telstra" saying there's overdue payments, but they're calling me by a different name and I don't have an overdue balance. Is this really Telstra?

I received a text message from 'Telstra' saying that my direct debit has failed. Please pay today to avoid fees and update your details via telstra.com/MyAccount
