I answered a call from this number on my work 1300 number in Perth. The Indian sounding guy claimed he was from Microsoft in Sydney, what suburb I asked, he said North Ryde. He claimed he could see my computer and people were trying to hack into it, he needed me to log in and follow instructions so he could fix the problem, he claims he could also see everything in it and also knew everything about me. I strung him along and he got annoyed when I was laughing and talking to a colleague, he accused me of talking to my boyfriend and said he was going to blow up my computer and office if I did not co-operate with his vehement demands to let him have access to my computer. I said you already have don't you? He became more irate and threatening to blow up my computer and office with a bomb that was apparently inside my laptop!, I said I would call the terrorist hotline and dob him in. To annoy him I said OK what do I have to do, he said hit the windows microsoft button on the keyboard, I claimed I couldn't see it anywhere LOL and then he hung up. I recorded the last bit of the conversation after he threatened to blow me up.

Their real number is (02) 9191 2992. Call them, tell them your are recording the call and ask them clearly to take your number off their dialling list. Be calm and reasonable. They will most likely respond well and comply. Dont speak to the person that is calling you, its a waste of time. Talk to their call centre manager.

I just got a call from this number and collected some personnel information. I would like to lodge a complaint on it

This number has started to pester me. The times it is ringing is outside what is allowed under Australian Law for any Direct Marketing purposes. I don't answer it, and will try to work out how to block them from calling me.

I have had this number calling my mobile for a couple of months now since returning from overseas, I thought it was from OS as I gave my website card to many people but now I'm confused after reading all the other comments! I'm in Australia.

I have caller ID and I now don't answer these unrecognised unusual numbers and immediately block them on my phone at home and work. If they are legitimate and want to speak to me they can leave a message. Problem sorted.

Bullsh*t Tech Support line trying to get into your machine.
I listened to his crap, it failed on me (I'm highly tech literate), he brought his "colleague" in on it, that guy decided I wasn't a stooge and hung up on me.
(Stopped them getting another person at least!)

3 to 6 times per day, as soon as I hear the crackling noise and 3 second pause, I just hang up, then check the last number received #69 and it is always F#$%^&*ng them.

Had a call from this number, again. Asian guy claiming to be from "Telstra Big Pond" This is a scam, scam,scam. I have had enough of these mongrels. Next time they call they are going to get a VERY nasty shock.

Received a missed call from 000 119 76000. No message was left. Can't call it back as 000 dials straight through to Emergency Services.

In my case I was told that I had downloaded some stuff of the Internet which would have an adverse affect on my computer. I told him to leave me alone and that I had now wish to waste my time an scamers like him and hung up. I am registered against these calls and yet I still get them on a daily basis.

We need a new section for this type of call this is not a prank call it's "SCAMING".

Not happy receiving 3 off these phone calls at 3.00am on my mobile. I Can't turn mobile off I need to be contactable so I am hoping this is not an ongoing occurrence! There was nobody on the other end.

Received call from this number today. Didn't answer as the number displayed oddly with many zeros before the number. They didn't leave a message. My phone log shows they rang 4 times last year in may/june 2012.

I've had missed calls logged on my phone for over 4 weeks now. Finally got to it before it stopped and a man with a very Bombay accent started asking me "survey" questions. I asked where he is from and it was something like "Australian Survey Marketing". I asked to speak to a supervisor and when I insisted he hung up.

Its a new year and I still get these calls! It comes up as 0011976000, but I see it registers under different states here as well. Very frustrating! What can be done to rid us of this scum!! Rant over!!
