Caller: Female with accent.

Said she was from Telstra and was going to disconnect my internet connection. I asked her name and she said Sarah Gomez. I don't believe that for one minute. So fed up with these scammers. I gave her a mouthful of choice words and hung up.

Caller: Scam (Hong Kong area code 852) - supposedly from Telstra

Received two calls on our home phone, each caller identifying themselves as Telstra, reporting that our internet had Telstra fault error messages. Each caller didn't get very far as I advised them that Telstra wouldn't be ringing about our faulty internet, especially without a fault being logged. The first caller aggressively advised that our internet will be disconnected tomorrow and the second caller hung up. Wished our home phone had blocking capability like my mobile!!!!

Just got a call claiming I had technical problem saying from Telstra would not take no for an answer. Gave abn no 3305175556 said his I’d was 0322226D.. mentioned every telco but the one I am with. I have had enough of these Asians claiming he was from Melbourne office .

Caller: Female claiming they worked for Telstra

Answered this call and was told by a female operator that my internet account with Telstra was going to be disconnected for 20 days. I promptly told this female operator with a distinctively non Australian accent she was full of sh*t and hope anyone receiving a call from this no. does the same.

Caller: somebody supposedly from Telstra

They wanted me to go to my computer so they could help me fix some alleged corrupt internet activity. I asked them lots of questions and got this phone number from them. Of course I did not but I checked the number here and found I am not the only one, good site, warn others.

Caller: Said from Telstra

Claimed to be from Telstra said I had 10 people trying to get info from my PC said I had to turn it on & follow his instructions if I didn't I would have to have my Internet off for 15 days His name Mark Williams Asian but very good English ID# 8600051T - D78642 when I asked why I had not received a letter or email from Telstra about it said the letter had come back to their department which is in Melbourne and gave me an address for it. I then ended the call but he rang 4 more times as I can see the callers # on my house phone. I then updated my AVG Security.

Hi everybody, I was SO STUPID! I allowed a clearly English speaking person to "invade" my computer. He claimed to be from Telstra. He knew my mobile phone number, my landline phone number, my email address. He indicated that my computer was "corrupt". I stupidly did NOT question HOW he even knew this. I allowed him free access to my entire computer (WRONG WRONG WRONG). He then suggested that I did not login into my computer until 10am tomorrow (Friday). Again WRONG WRONG WRONG on my part - I was absolutely conned. He looked like he was addressing the system errors. Instead he found my "saved passwords" on Mozilla to my Internet Banking, Credit Card, etc etc. Upshot of this was that my bank (via Internet Banking) is short $5000. I have had to freeze my credit card, and bank account and will need to re-set everything tomorrow (Friday). Please people please don't do what I naively did and allow full computer access to a stranger. We will see if something can be done to resolve this issue.

Just got a scam call from this number.....”Jason Williams from TELSTRA security department”......nice try, curry muncher 🤪

she asked if I was the main internet user, I said yes but I am not. She then said they were getting messages that we have a problem. Asked me how many green lights were on. I told her I was walking the dog and she said she would call back in one hour. I rand the number and recording said "not conected".

Asian woman claiming she was from telstra. I asked her if she knew who she was talking to and she very quickly hung up. Definately a scammer. I pay extra for a silent number, am also on "do not call" list, very few have my number yet I still get these scam calls.

Caller identified themselves as Telstra and tried to sell products, refused to give me details where they got my number saying it was from "a public database". They said they were located at 215 Miller St North Sydney and gave this number as their contact number.
In a second call within seconds of the first I asked to be removed from their database and they replied that they would remove me if I gave them my wife or daughter (to the sound of laughter in the background)

Claimed to be from Telstra - when will these calls stop - I pay for a phone service for my business and have to put up with these idiots.

They rang twice within a five hour period and I did not answer. I tried calling this long number back twice, but both times got the Telstra message that "this number is not in service" !!

I don't answer the phone anymore due to calls like this. This number called and I saw it looked longer than normal but didn't answer it. No message left. Then I used this fantastic site to try and identify the caller and saw from the first poster that it was a scammer. This is why I don't answer the phone anymore, if people re serious they will leave a message!

I received same call. Said he was from telstra an wanted me to type in WWW.teamviewer.com i did not do it, Very suss. Said i would ring him back . I wont.
