Caller: Claimed to be Booking.com

Warning this number is a scam claiming to be Booking.com, Indian voice who seems to know your name.

Only after i rang the priority queue about changing dates on a booking after the deadline and then trying to call booking.com back did an actual booking.com staffer who sounded Asian, maybe like Pilipino etc whose voice i did recognize show up this number, the voicemail was the ones I reached. Its not a scam as such but hang up anyway and call their actual priority Aussie number when in doubt.

This is part of an enormous number of Booking . Com scams. They have clearly been seriously hacked and are refusing to accept it. We have been plagued for a week over a booking for next week in Italy. WhatsApp messages and phone calls claiming booking going to be cancelled if we don’t give them another payment method. We contacted the property through the booking website and the fraudsters answered.!,! Booking customer services simply lie and say they have no idea what’s the issue and they will “escalate”. They won’t. We are cancelling and booking direct with a human being I can talk to.

Scammer don’t answer.
