Posted on May 3, 2025 Caller type: Scam call Location: Australia
Caller: Sienna Just to clarify, the number is +63 963 139 6704 (there is no +61), which appears to be a number from the Philippines. I received the following text message:
"Hello, sorry to bother you! I'm Sienna from Ribit. your CV has been recommended by several online recruitment agencies, so we‘d like to offer you a remote job where you can earn A$150-300 per day, working 60 - 90 minutes per day at a time and place of your choosing (paid on the same day). Paid annual leave 5 to 15 days. But please note: (you must be at least 20+). If you are eligible and want more information, please reply with a ‘YES’."
There were two other numbers included in the group chat, one of which was also purportedly from the Philippines (+63 962 120 5426). The other had the Australian area code (+61) in front of it; I have no idea if they were in on the scam or if they're another target such as myself.
Anyhow, this is clearly a scam bait message to test whether I would respond. I've gotten one of these messages from +63 numbers basically everyday for the past three days. It's getting old.
