When this call came it simply showed as coming from Australia, however it also came with a large warning notice which said "Warning: Suspicious Calling Pattern", which I found most unusual. I did answer the call, but heard only a prolonged silence, after which I terminated the call. I think it was probably some sort of scam, but don't know any details. It is quite likely other people may also receive a call from this number, if so I would treat it with great suspicion!

Caller: “Amanda from Telstra” (definitely a scam)

Said she was calling me from Telstra and it was about my IP address associated with my phone being “no longer private”. When I asked her why Telstra was calling me because I was with a different network she hang up.

Showed as suspicious number on my iPhone so I didn't answer it and it went to voicemail, but no message was left.
Possible Scammer?

two calls within the last hour

There was a warning from my phone company saying:
Warning: Suspicious Calling… I guess it’s a phone hacker!!

answered the call - after a short connection delay, woman called advising she was calling about my account. When I asked what account she was referring to the was a brief pause again before she hung up!!! Could hear call centre workers in the background. suspect it was a scam call.

Message came up as the phone rang “Warning: Suspicious Calling Pattern”

Caller: “Telstra”

Said they were from Telstra regarding internet when I said I wasn’t with Telstra and asked them to take me off their call list and they just hung up

Said from visa and mastercard security service and wanted to advise international transaction attempt at 4.00am on debit card. Not a chance - scam call. Bank always notifies me of unusual attempts. Blocked caller.

Caller: Scammer

Said he was from Telstra and that my IP address had changed from private to public, or some such nonsense. I told him I wasn't interested in being scammed and said goodbye, and as I was hanging up I could hear him saying "shut up, shut up". Telstra indeed.

Caller: paypal

Said they were from Paypal and wanted my approval for a $1200 payment. I do not have such an account. When I asked is she was a scammer, she hung up.

Caller: “Telstra”

Told me they were from Telstra regarding my internet. I said look im busy so can you scam somewhere else and leave me alone. She said ‘how dare you call me a scammer you a**hole’ and hung up haha!
