Caller: scam

Claiming to be Telstra Technical Department. Indian. Rattled on about problems with internet and how someone was trying to scam me. That it was all a big problem. Told him the only problem I was having was him. He was the scam. He asked "who told you I was a scam". Told him I could just tell. He hung up. So that would be a sign to start with. Ringing the number back with a recording "the number you have called could not be connected. Second give away. Having caller ID . The extra long number was the third give away. Please, no one take offence, but the Indian accent was the next give away. Starting off with calling from the Telstra Technical Department was another. Thank goodness they don't do their homework properly, otherwise they would be conning so many more poor innocent unsuspecting people. PLEASE BE AWARE OF SCAMMERS. PLEASE DO NOT BE A VICTIM. REAL TELSTRA PERSONNEL CONTACT YOU WITH PROFESSIONAL ETHICS. DON'T BE A VICTIM. HUNG UP. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THEM BEING REAL. RING TELSTRA DIRECT USING THE NUMBER ON YOUR ACCOUNT AND ASK IF SOMEONE HAD CONTACTED YOU REGARDING ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR INTERNET ETC. DON'T BE A VICTIM.
