He said he was from Telstra and I had a problem with my router. I knew it was a scam but played along for a while, he got me to press the start and R button together bringing up the Run box. He asked me to type something in, which I didn't, then he asked me what was on my screen, I told him there was a message there saying, Switch off your computer this is a F**king scam, then I hung up.

He said it was about my internet connection and they were receiving many errors from my router. I told them I'm not with Telstra and this is as a scam call and get lost then hung up the phone on him.

This number has called more than once and after I waste my time answering with my usual meet and greet, a machine voice says "Goodbye". I phoned back and it says that the number is not in service. How do I stop them from doing this?

Yes this is scam. Said was in Melbourne, then said was in offshore call centre. Did not give control. Wanted $5 to fix. Ended up him getting upset and saying "F**k you man" to me.
Can't these numbers be traced and people shut down?

My poor grandfather got stuck on this one, scammed money out of his bank account and asked for passport details. Said he was from telstra claiming to fix NBN.

Usual Indian call centre claiming to be Telstra telling me that computer is giving out the usual virus stuff. Played them for 20 minutes.

You would think that they would keep a list of people that they had called. The people on this number have called me several times saying that they were from Telstra. Another scam. Annoy them by asking what is the IP address of your own computer that they are asking about and what is their Telstra ID.

She said she was from Telstra and I could get $200 back by changing to Telstra internet, I told her I would be phoning Telstra to see if this was true and hung up on her.

He asked me about my pending Telstra imminent phone connection. I told the there was not Telstra connection and told to stop bothering me.

Same thing, she said she was from Telstra and that my internet was being used by up to 27 other people for criminal purposes. She wanted to direct me through some checks on the computer, when I challenged her as to her identity she became evasive and stated that they would need to disconnect my internet service due to the criminal activity. I tolf her she was full of s#!t and she hung up. I then called Telstra who confirmed it was a scam.
