Over the past two days I've had around half a dozen calls from this number. I tried to answer the first two but there was no one there, have ignored the others and of course they don't leave a message.
The weird thing is that the number showing on my phone is 05164536886 which doesn't appear to be a genuine phone number, when I enter it here they remove the zero.
Has anyone else had these calls? I am baffled.....

I've had 3 to 4 calls from this number so fed up of these people calling me. My phone number is a business line and I don't want calls like this, they call you and don't answer SCAM CALL. Just block them.....

Calling from "United Community Solar". Trying to schedule appointments to get someone to flog you solar panels.

Copped it Wed & Thurs but didn't answer it as my mobile showed "Peru". Don't know what it's about but none of my friends or enemies are in Peru @ the moment trying to smuggle anything back, so I have blocked it.

I've just had one of these calls at 2.10 today

I answered a call from this number today, it was a "Consumer Buyer Survey", she asked for my cooperation for a few seconds I said I didn't have time as she asked for a preferred callback time I hung up. No idea on the company behind it.

Just had one but no one responded when I answered. Am now going to block this number based on other comments and my experience...most likely a nuisance or scam call

Yes we've had a call from that no too. Also had those calls from Green Energy. We are also on the do not call register so doubly annoying.

Judging by the number this will be an overseas number. I have had several calls over the last couple of days from them and each time they are are from a different energy company. I lost my temper with todays operator demanding that they do not call. Won't do any good though. Telstra need to have an effective method of stopping these calls or advertise how to divert them at no cost to the consumer.

Thanks for replying, glad it's not just me. I'm on the do not call register too and agree there doesn't seem much point to it. At least you got to speak to someone there, they continue to call me twice a day and even though I've had a couple of tries to answer it, just to tell them what I think of them, there is never anyone there.

Say they are from green energy and conducting a survey to compare electricity rates on my bill, told them not interested and also on do not call register ( which seems to have no effect on these callers) and she hung up. What is the point of "do not call register" when "NOTHING" can be done about these spammers.
