Same number today - call from 'Jack' of "Australian Accident Care" who didn't know who or when but was insistent that someone in our household had had a car accident!
I said, "when was the date of this accident?" To which he replied, "I don't know when ma'am sometime this year."
"I said what is the interest to you?" 'Jack' replied "I have your file in front of me ma'am and am trying to resolve it!" I said, "If you have my file in front of you what is my name?"
Poor old 'Jack' couldn't riddle that and hung up !!!!!!!! :D :D :D
I have reported it to the Australian government scam watch and notice this type of scam has been going around since about 2014.
They basically take your details and on sell to 3rd party insurance lawyers.

Same caller phoned again and asked the same question. I told them they had called last week and asked the same question. They said sorry and hung up.

Just answered a call from the above number.
Caller stated in a very deeply indian accent that some-one from this number (our number) is entitled to compensation.
I figured I would throw him a twist and then said "but he's bankrupt"
This comment still did not discourage him.
He then asked where we were hit, front, back, left or right...
I replied "You have the documentation, you tell me"
He hung up.
The fun one can have with scammers...

These people keep hanging up as soon as I speak, but they have rang a number of times and talked to me about an accident, but we have not had any for years

Have had two calls from these "people" asking about a car accident in the last two years, after my persistently asking them several times where they got the information from they hung up.

Someone ringing about myself or family member having a car accident in the last 2 years.Answered no to all their questions and they hung up.
