This was the number used for a scam email stating I had a huge bill due & payment will be required. It had an attachment, which I did not open.

I have been sent an email claiming money was used on my PayPal account ( I don’t have one) and to call this same number you quoted if I thought it was a mistake ( I didn’t call it) The email also had a word attachment detailing pmt taken from PayPal ( except I don’t have PayPal)

Hi all, these are definitely scammers. Received an email (from: pelet781statements @ benainfo.net) that was sent to hundreds of other emails claiming there's a transaction on my paypal account:

I called this number, it was obvious scam - I played along, and gave them a fake email

They were able to send an "MFA SMS" to my phone, at first claiming they were from PayPal, and then claiming they are from Amazon LOL

Scam for sure. Very clever because I had just made a purchase through PayPal but not for the amount they claimed.

Wasn't a call - got an email with an attachment about a PayPal transaction - had 450 odd other email recipients as well

My wife messaged me a picture of email stating a PayPal transaction made and to contact this number which had a hyperlink, she didn't open it though but wanted to know if I had purchased anything.
