This phone number said that they were Microsoft and that I needed to ring to get help. When my spy wear did not resolve the matter, I rang this number provided on the Microsoft screen. The person answered 'Technical Support' but sounded suspicious, so I asked them to ring me back on my home phone which they did. The number used was a Canberra ACT number: (02) 5133 5021. Putting that number in Reverse Australia suggested that it is a number used by scammers.
