received a "#security alert for payment of A2500.00 for A Card*paypal call on 1800 861 943"
Definitely did not make a payment for that amount....scam alert I say

I received the same message re having paid 1299.99 AUD Pay-Pal to Intellect Co Ltd on 3021 July 27, if any dispute dial that same number. Bloody scammers.

This is a scam. Received a text message from INFOSMS saying : "Payment- Alert; You've paid 1299.99 AUD Pay-Pal*CIN QR to Intellect Co. ltd on 2021 July 27, If any Dispute or Query Dial now: 1800 861 943 "

These scammers set up a bank account in my name. They made two small deposits before I found out and reported it to the bank.

Then they sent a SMS:

"#Security-Alert; You've Sent a Payment of A2500.00 For Q-Card *PayPalTC on 2021/07/27, TXN#241SAX4Dzt If NOT you, Call Now: (+61)1800-861943 For Dispute!!

I got the Same message

Caller: Sender ID was INFOSMS. No sender number displayed.

Your PayPal account (don't have one) has been charged 1999.99. ( some random transaction ID). To query or dispute this transaction call 1800 861 943. Message had several formatting errors.

Just bought something from AliExpress. I thought it was a scam but just needed to make sure. Just check your Paypal account and your bank account associated with it. If worried just call paypal.

After checking, nothing was out of the ordinary, so FOR SURE IT IS A SCAM

I had fun calling these scammers back and keeping them tied up dealing with me, a 'distressed customer'. Meant they had one less operator at a time to scam real people. Scumbags.

When I rand from a land line it gave a busy signal - Scammers

Most likely overseas operation, as in Australia the dates aren't written like this

I contacted Paypal and they said they do not text clients, they email queries.
