be wary of this phone number tried to sell me norton for exorbitant prices after telling me my firewall was down and told me that they had to renew the account to fix the firewall. The Norton account still had 2 months to run. My norton was scanning as normal at that time. I shunted them off and immediately scanned my computer. According to Norton all ok. Changed my password and did nor answer any more calls from the number.

Caller: They called me

Claimed my Norton antivirus had recently expired (which it had) and that I had 39 hackers and 5182 viruses on my PC. Charged me $640 to update Norton. I contacted my partner to let him know what happened, he immediately recognised it was a scam. I contacted Norton and thay confirmed that they never phone asking for payment details and that this was definetely a scam. Trying to put a stop on the payment now.

Caller: Given this number to call for Norton support

Called back by an 03 number. Caller asked for remote access to my PC to assist with issue. Attempted to access my PayPal account so I disconnected. Caller called back multiple times and became increasingly hostile.

Caller: No one. I was given this number in a fake Norton chat.

I expect this number is part of a scam.

Caller: This was not a cold call. I entered a fake website that I thought was Norton.

i was given this number as the 'Norton Tech Helpline'. it was connected to a scam on a website pretending to be Norton. It was given to me in a chat. So I'm pretty sure this number is a scam.

Rang this supposed Norton number phone was answered "Hello?"
I said need help with computer problem they said "i'll get someone to call you back".
A professional co. like Norton would not answer the phone that way.
This mob scamed me in 7/12/21 for $530 for a firewall that did not exist.
