Caller: Microsoft Support My laptop was blocked by a message that said I'd been hacked. There was a phone number to call to get this rectified. I naturally thought THIS was a scam but rang it anyway. I asked the call centre person if in fact they were who they said they were & not a scam themselves but soon realized they were legitimate when going through the process to get my laptop unblocked. It was a long process to go through but everything went back to normal when I rebooted.

Caller: They said it was from micro soft Sydney My computer was blocked from Apple due to a security alert .This phone number was listed to contact re the alert. They went through steps for me to scan a couple of sites I had visited . The next request was to scan my on line banking . I refused as I do not work on line with my banking. He then said it is just a test to make sure if I intended to connect to on line banking in the future . This was supposed to be a support staff from Micro soft SCAM
