Caller: "Jeff Hunt" from so-called 'Web Security Export'

Said the 'Network File Security' two years service had to be paid. Each year was more than $1,700 Or I could let it ride for seven years and then have to pay over $8,400. Would not supply anything in writing/email.
I could find nothing on my computer relating to his demands. Completed a virus scan and found nothing. If he calls again I will tell him I have reported him to the ACCC Scamwatch https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/ .

I have received a voice mail from someone named Jason telling me a firewall I cancelled last year is still running on my computer. I owe $599 American dollars. They quoted me my address, email address and told me what card I am supposed to have paid from. I was duped once but in time reported this to my bank's fraud dept. I have reported this to Scam watch.

Caller: Variouls people including Jeff Hunt, Johnathan Baldwyn and Jack Wayne.

Some of the people I spoke to were Jack Wayne, Johnathan Baldwyn 0409 874 512) and Jeff Hunt (all with thick Indian accents). Their accents and ethnicity are not an issue of course, but the incongruity between their very Anglo names and their obvious subcontinental origins was one small factor that, taken with all the other oddities in our exchanges led me to believe that their claims were illegitimate.

Between them, Jack Wayne, Johnathan Baldwyn and Jeff Hunt gave me several different company names including:

• Web Security Experts
• Web Security Global
• Ease My Tech Solutions
• World Live Solutions

The explanation for these discrepancies is that they are different departments of the same company in different locations. This seemed odd to me. None of them, when pressed could give me a straight answer about their actual company and its headquarters, address and website.

The number that Jack Wayne was calling from 0418 113 257) registered on my mobile as coming from Singapore. Johnathan Baldwyn informed me that he was calling from San Jose, California. The company that I made the one payment to (for 2018) called ‘World Live Solutions’ is based in Madrid, although Johnathan told me it was Barcelona.

Jeff Hunt told me that head office is in California:
214 Business Dr.
Hawaiian Gardens
California 90716
U.S.A

The only web site for which I could find anything was ‘Ease My Tech Solutions’ and that took me to a company based in India:

1st Floor, GeoInfoPark
Infopark Campus, Infopark Expy,
Near South Gate, Kakkanad,
Kochi 682030

I brought this to their attention and they seemed confused by this and said it was wrong. Every time I pressed any of them for a web address they would not give me a straight answer and tried to delay me, pass me on to other ‘consultants’ or tell me they would call back. I pointed out to them that this was a straight forward request that any of their employees should be able to tell me but none of them would or could.

Given that none of them was able to give me a straight forward, credible assurance that they did have legitimate claims I told them that I was unconvinced and that no one had been able to reliably put my mind to rest. I requested that they not call me anymore and that they should send me contracts etc. (if indeed they had them) in writing via email. I also informed them that I had consulted my lawyer and would pass on any documentation they sent. I also told them that I had reported them to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Scam watch service.

Be wary of these people.

Same sort of thing. He told me tha I owe 2 more years payment for a 'firewall'. How do I check this? He says that if I don't pay his company 'Ease My Tech Solutions' will hand over my details to a debt collection agency.

Said the 'Network File Security' two years service had to be paid. Each year was more than $1,700 Saying if I don't call them back that I wil owe more than $4,00000 and that someone will come and take my computer and etc., and take legal actions. I told them last year that I was not interested in anything he was selling and take me off their list. .Each time that he calls is a different number and you just can't block one number. You have to block all the numbers that he calls on. He has call me more than 40 times.

I can’t understand why these scammers haven’t been stopped. Looking at all the comments this has been going on for more than 2 years at the least. It isn’t happening in just one country but the world over. Can’t the various fraud agencies of each country combine their information and stop these people. I am now having to change my landline and mobile number because over the last 5 days I have received roughly 50 phone calls. I have reported it to Action Fraud UK.

This is an ongoing scam. Happening the world over. Jeff Hunt called and left message saying he was from Global Support. Initially stated I owed no money but needed to call him back so he could cancel the service. Next phone message said my bank card would be charged £1500 because I hadn’t called him back to cancel service. Needless to say I have no intention of returning Jeff Hunt’s phone calls. If they were a genuine company there would be no need to make up or anglosize your surname.

Ditto this info, though we never paid them anything. We have been receiving these calls for nearly a year. Various names given, but "Jeff Hunt" is the most popular. They claim they will or have scheduled a $1500 bank account draft topay for web security services and the only way to stop the calls is to go online and cancel the (non-existing) service. These calls come in using a different phone number, but request that you call back on an 800#.

Same as report from 16 August, I was hacked app three years ago. Didn't answer this time and was left a massage stating similar to earlier reports. I wont be calling back suffice it to say as my email and street address whilst similar are not exactly correct.

Called to tell you that they are renewing your $800 subscription on your laptop unless you cancel it. They are from “web security experts”. They got you to go on to go to assist so they could control your screen so they could take your “firewall down so you weren’t recharged”. They knew facts that a typical spammer wouldn’t know and I had my laptop hacked 3 years ago and had paid for a firewall so I believed them. However dates quickly didn’t add and I managed to disconnect computer before any damage occurred. I have now spent the past 3 hours moving all files to a hard drive and reset my computer just in case. Do not trust.
