Caller: A scammer This number appeared on a pop-up screen on my computer, with the message "you system has been infected by a Trojan. Please call Microsoft support on <above number>" DON'T CALL THIS NUMBER - it is NOT Microsoft. It is a scammer. They are VERY sophisticated and very genuine-sounding. Supreme irony: They'll give you a lecture about the dangers of hackers and what you should do to defend yourself. Then they will feed you BS about your system being under attack "right now". They'll try to steal your personal info, credit cards, bank details etc, all in the name of "securing your system".
DO NOT EVER CALL THIS NUMBER! Google Microsoft for the genuine MS support number.
