Had a jerk call me this morning telling me I had a free listing for 2 businesses. I said no I don't, you're just trying to get me to pay for a service I don't have. He insisted they were a 'real company with an ABN number!' I said i didn't care, he said 'GO AND LOOK ON GOOGLE NOW AND ..." at which point I told him to not tell me what to do, do not call me again, I am not interested and hung up. Get a call a second later from a private number, same guy, 'don't you want to grow your business?!'

I very clearly and succinctly said 'put me on your do not call list and do not call me again!'

he stated sales pitch again, I loudly and clearly again said 'PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST AND DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN. IS THAT CLEAR!!??' At which point he started insulting me so I hung up again.

Idiots.

Thank you all for the info, I am always suspicious of 1800 numbers. Is it a coincidence that I just placed an add in a newspaper?, I think not. They tried their best to flog me an 'upgraded' internet package to go with a complimentary one but I wouldn't be in it, so i guess they are having another go.

I got a call today by a fella (with a really effeminate voice that some gay guys have) who asked if this was the number for private house cleaning and ironing? I did put an ad on Gumtree advertising for that but that was almost 5 years ago and I'm not even sure it's was with my current phone number. I told him no and he said, oh, I thought this was the number. He was nice enough but it's weird. .After I hung up I tried to call back and it just beeped at me. Very strange.

Claim they are just checking your listing is set up correctly then try and sell you something. Won't stop calling

I get this number ringing my mobile phone number every second day however, the caller ID screen shows it as "01800 135665 OVERSEAS". I think you will find it is a call from the USA as the first time they rang I answered and a Yankee voice was heard. It is not an Australian 1800 number ringing as 01 is USA and 800 is equivalent to a regional/area code within the USA. Each time it rings I now don't answer as I just press the red reject call button on my mobile phone screen.

Very annoying guy calling me mate. Won't take no for an answer, trying to get me to sign up for a free* listing.

Just got called 5 times in the space of under 2 minutes! Didn't answer the calls, they should have some respect, what if I was busy (which I was) - give it some time before trying again! Down right rude, just by having that attitude in spamming the call button!

I was called by 01800 135 665 and also was told he was from DLook never herd of them so I hung up let's see if they call me back now.

Thanks for the heads up guys they tried calling me 4 times in a row today at work. Jerks. Block there number if they call.
