Electronic Call system - Spamming you with various messages to entice you - "DON'T ANSWER or FALL FOR IT"

If I don't know the number...I don't answer the phone! Message was similar to the other people....Press 1 to claim a $9? credit. Deleted message, then looked up this site! Thanks for providing this service.

I got a call last night. I have my answering machine permanently on as I am getting calls from scammers ( usually nine per month ). What a shame I cannot answer my phone any more...

They are still hard at it, being batted by my block filter to the answering machine.

received a call while driving that I obviously didn't answer. checking messages later couldn't hear the first part of the message but I did hear " press 1 to confirm" so it was probably the same scam mentioned above

Received a call out of the blue from this number where an automated message told me I had won a flight credit towards my next holiday, for $999 from Qantas and to press 1.
I hung up straight away as I believed this was an obvious scam. A quick google came up with this story from 2014.
