Why haven't these people been investigated...I'd hate to think of all the not so tech savvy and elderly that have fallen for these scammers..all they want for you to enable them to gain remote access to your computer and steal all your information..I told them to stop being thieves and get a real job and I got called every name under the sun...Telstra need to take this more seriously..not happy!!

I've had a number of "Overseas 3910" calls in the last few days. For me they've begun just before 9 a.m.,finished just after 9 p.m. As I have caller ID I don't pick up, but am getting tired of jumping up every time the phone rings. Is there any way to stop them?

I just received a call from this number at 6:31pm I never bothered answering it as I thought it was very weird to be receiving a call from a number that only uses 4 digits. Where is this call coming from and who are they?

I just had the same call from the 3910#. When I wouldn't go and do what she wanted she got abusive and started yelling. I told her to ring back in an hour so I could ring my provider she got wild and said she was turning my internet off right now. Called her bluff and to her to F off. She had a bit more of a screaming match and hung up....

called my landline and when he asked me to turn my computer on when it was already turned on i immediately started to think alarm bells. when i asked a few technical question the operator immediately became very abusive. when i hung up he immediately called back asking me why i hung up on him. was curious to see what their ultimate goal was in the end should have kept on talking to see where it went.

Keep getting calls from 3910 on my landline which is diverted to my mobile. I've put the number on my blacklist, now they keep calling with their number hidden. They called 4 times yesterday, and 7 times today. Abusing them does not seem to slow them down. They keep saying they are from the Telstra Technical Department. I'm not with Telstra! I know its racist, but as soon as I hear a foreign accent on the phone I start seeing red. I am being plagued by these people.

Have had this number call up this evening around 7:30pm, answered and got them talking for about 8seconds and then played a pre-recorded tracking sound(gotta love youtube)and said AFP, you have been busted and i know your location and the lady quickly hung up. Now i have been called about 10 times by that number and by another overseas number 41435507311 in the last 20mins...unfortunately they not going to give up...my phone is now on silent and is flicking away

Just received a call from a woman that sounded panicked and told me in a heavy accent that my computer has been hacked and will be unusable tomorrow. Internet will be shut down. I hung up on her and she rang back straight away.

Dont hang up. Just put the phone aside for a while and let them pay for the call. They have been calling me a few times a day for the last week.

In the past two weeks they keep ringing me all hours of the day - number comes up as 3910 - when I answered the first call lady with accent tells me she is from Telstra Technical Department and that our internet connection is about to be turned off. I told her that she was a scam and I would appreciate them not calling and anymore and to piss off. She started abusing me verbally and told me that "you f**k off you Australian bitch - you just an Australian bitch" and then hung up. Now they keep ringing and I just press the hang up button on the phone. Don't know when they are going to give up though - just a shame we are unable to locate these people. Must admit I feel like answering the phone and telling them they have just called the Australian Federal Police - Technical Scam Department and they have just been traced !!!!

3910 is a number used by telephone scammers. Be scam alert especially if their calls are repeated and are targeted towards you. Explain to them in a loud and firm voice that you are: very aware that this type of call is a scam, use abusive language if you have to. This will shock them because they wouldn't be expecting such a response from you. It would also send a strong message to the scammers that you are adamant and will remain 100% uncoperative with them. For those of you who simply hang up on them, in most cases hanging up doesn't work because the scammers are determined to get YOUR attention so they just keep ringing you back repeatedly. So once you get their attention this is the moment to blast them with such an earfull.
