I have had the same person call me three days in a row at the same time, asking to speak to my wife. Today, he gave me this number, plus the option 2. First two times he called, just said he was from "the bank", wouldn't say which. Today, he said he was from Westpac.

scam do not accept the call

Left a voicemail and asked for me by name. Then said that they were going to end the call and if I wanted to call back to dial 132668, option 2. Didn’t say where they were from or what the call was regarding. This is the second voice mail from an unknown number in a few months. Very strange indeed.

Yes, same here today. I questioned girl at length , suggested it might be a scam, she did not waver from her story, that is was a private banking matter, for my son. I suggested she contac him by post

about banking enquiring, do not say yes, do not identify yourself the bank does not call

I have had a number of calls from an unknown number. When answered, got a typical call centre accented person from 'Westpac' wanting to discuss a 'personal banking matter'. I asked for the number to call back on and was given 132 668 Option2. I notice that this number is not listed on Westpac's site. I am a Westpac customer and do have some account matters to discuss, so kind of strange that they should be calling me

First rang Saturday afternoon claiming to be from Westpac bank. Asian accent. Asked to verify my name and date of birth before they would discuss the reason for the call. I declined and stated I would contact my bank on Monday. They rang me again on Monday and when I asked for a number I could call back on I was given 132668 and select option 1. I rang my bank instead who indicated that they had not tried to contact me.

Rang Saturday afternoon claiming from Westpac bank. Poor quality phone line and Asian accent. A bank ringing on a Saturday? Asked me to verify my details and didnot state what was the purpose of the call. Gave me this number to call and select option "2".
