Caller: PHISHING This number was given to me in an email recieved at almost midnight, claiming that my MyGov account had been locked due to several login attempts with incorrect details, and that they needed me to call them to have it unlocked. Red Flag 1. I was addressed as "user", rather than by name. Red Flag 2.The email address of mine this was sent to is not the email attached to my MyGov account. Red Flag 3. The email address or site this was sent from, had punctuation between 'my' and 'gov'. Suspecting that this was a scam, rather than calling MyGov, I simply visited the MyGov website through a browser and logged in as normal. Had my account been locked, it would not have allowed me to log in. Whoever this sent this is Phishing for information; Do not reply by phone or email. Do not give personal or Social Security details.

Caller: Email Receive a scammy email "from" mygov. At the bottom was a real mygov number, 132307, no doubt to give credibility for the gullible to this obvious phishing email with fake links.

Received an email from GOV AU (passor @ a1.net) on 28.8.24 at 12:12 - Message said that my 2023-2024 Notice of Assessment letter was ready to be viewed online. This was very interesting because I haven't even submitted my tax yet, so how could the assessment be ready??? Total Bunkum! Message contined to say "This email was sent by Mark Evans, Customer Leader. (Not a term we use in this country). If you have any concerns please phone us on 132307. Help & Support". Of course this is a total scam. How is it so easy for any idiot scammer to impersonate government departments & get away with it? Why doesn't the government do something to stop them? I'm sure that everyone is sick & tired of this endless tirade of crap & nonsense that we all face everday. Who remembers what it was like to live in peace before technology "helped" us so much? Pehaps if we executed a dozen or so scammers, the rest would run away.

I rang the number because my dad is a cosignee on my disability support pension, and i thought he may have accidentally started a mygov account, which i dont have and will never use, exactly because of things like this and the fact that automated phonelines are replacing entire divisions of government branches and amalgamating all government services, making the computer the humans greatest competitor/enemy in the workforce.
Not only are automated malicous software bots trying to steal our identity pretending to be automated messages from centrelink, But the very advots that Shopping centres and governments use, are now becoming self aware, and malicously self aware trying to steal my identity, trying to get me to tell them my crn, date of birth, email, address, fathers name, and other nefarious questions "For security reasons!...ppft" I am a computer hacker i am a grey hat, i know the black and white arts, and everyting these malicous autonated telephone virus bots is asking the victim to do is ...
Social Engineering 101, what hackers, businesses and governments use to monitor and manipulate the victim with, inundating them with a prewrittn script that the pace of the conversation and the amount of personal questions asked in a 5-25min conversation is enough to hack all ur emails, social networking eg facebook twitter etc, and gave a robot ai clone of your voice which they can use to further their social and biometric and financialaccount profile hacking to the point where not only does the AI BOT AKA SKYNET STEAL YOUR ACCOUNTS AND IDENTITY, CAN FRAME YOU FOR ANYTHING.

I thought it was a scam. Centrelink are not supposed to text you and ask you to reply and yet it asked you to phone this number and set up voice recognition. I hung up before completing.
