There are scams there, but:
132300 is a Centrelink number.
They sometimes call from an anonymous number if you r in middle of some discussion, BUT you always get an SMS about an hour or two beforehand advising you that they will call.
I have had this twice, while I was in middle of some changes. Not out of the blue.No email was sent in this case.
Be sure to answer the call within a few seconds, otherwise they mark it as 'no answer' and you go to back of queue.
Definitely scam never heard of centrelink calling by phone they send email Message said "to make sure your payment is correct, you need to give us more information. Please call us on 132300. Do not reply by SMS"
I checked my Centrelink inbox and there was nothing about it and said I had nothing outstanding . Looks like a scam
No contact with my nominee and nothing in my inbox. Looks like it's a scam I don’t trust it’s Centrelink - nothing in my Centrelink inbox about wanting me to call them.
