Received a letter in the mail with the 131272 number, said it was from Dept Human Services, Child Support. The document has been drafted on an official Government letterhead and then has been photocopied and has all of my personal details on it and asks if the banking details are still relevant as they have monies owing to me and wish to deposit it by a certain date. It raises great concern that the Government Agency mentioned has allowed so much personal information to fall into the hands of scammers.
The number is also a paid call number.
It is a scam, do not comply with any of it.

After some research this number is listed with the Australian Child Support section of the department of Human services. Legitimate.

I had a text on my phone saying I needed to call this number about child support....I dont have any children under 25! A scam. Thank you to everyone else who has left some comments about this number.

First call was a random mobile number, saying that my Amazon account is going to have 99 cent deducted from my account for a delivery purchase. If I wanted to proceed or cancel to press 1 now. I pressed 1 because I don't have a purchase order with Amazon and obviously wanted to cancel. Anyway I comes on asks me for my enquiry, I told him I wanted to cancel whatever order that had been purchased under my name. He questioned me to the order that I never made. If this isn't me... And asked if this is my mobile number to where I made a purchase order from. I said no I didn't make the order, and yes that is my mobile number. He then said that someone has been using my mobile number to making accounts under my name and that my mobile number is being hacked. So he told me to go into play store to download and open a app to help know who is using my account. But for some weird reason I pressed the wrong button to my data that I couldn't open Play Store. Anyway, he was trying to rush me to quickly fix my WiFi issue, when my daughter shouted out, to hang up it's a scam. So, as he was getting impatient a bit. I thought sh*t. The scammer is pretending that I've been scammed in order to do something that I know I never did. So, I hung up and within a minute he was calling me on a different mobile number. Which I never answered and I ended up blocking these numbers. The next day, which is a Sunday. I get a call from from a private number. Left a voicemail saying he is from chap.. Australian services, and call back tomorrow on 131272490 from 9am to 5pm that's 131272... So, I research to see if this number is legit...etc. Which I find comments on here that although he mentioned 490. I guess that's why at the end of his message was just 131 272. And looked it up and found all your guys comments left here from years going back to 2017. This is just bull sh*t that we are having to put up with these low lives. Trying to take from us. Thanks for sharing on here. Cause it does help to know when we're being scam.

Just wondering how they got my daughters Cristian name from files when she hasn’t lived with me (mother) for 29 yrs.
She did call them, after I passed on strange request left on my message bank. But was told no call was not for her, but for person paying CS payments. (Her brother) When she asked why person who left message, had said this is a message for !!!! And request she return call. The service person she spoke to was as confused as we were.

Had a voice mail on my mobile, and on my home phone. Sounded genuine - said she was from Department of Human Services - so I returned the call on mobile. First red flag was the American accent on the answering message. I hung up after hearing that. Number came up as 'unknown' on checking caller ID on both home and mobile phones.

have had about 4 calls and finally a message from “DHS”, says it was Rosa about a payroll enquiry. Please call ASAP (urgent apparently) 131272 and when asked enter reference 709034406176 and then when asked say it's an employer enquiry. Really weird. She sounded geneuine.

This sh*t Government agency has been ringing my Mobile every other day looking for woman called Sarah,have complained to this useless department that there is no here with that name,might as well talk to a brick for all the crap help i got.
