Purports to be from Latitude about an overdue account I haven’t operated on my account in 5 - 6 years so probably not legitimate. Also I was not named in the message.

Received a letter from Latitude Financial demanding payment for an overdue amount or else credit history may be affected. I have not had a Latitude account for over 9 years and the account was cancelled at the time. However the phone number seems to be connected to the company. Problem is when you call, they require verification details - which I did not feel comfortable giving. They then suggested I fill out a complaints for to get further assistance - but the form requires full personal details. Not sure what customers need to do to protect themselves when verification details are demanded. Is the demand letter legit??

Received a letter to say I had an overdue credit card payment. Rang the number on the back of my card to learn that there is a fee payable to keep the card active even though you don't use it. Have paid the overdue amount and cancelled the card. The number 13 10 24 number is legit and tied in with Latitude.

Latitude letter received in post for 28 Degrees Global Mastercard - overdue payment required - haven't used card for about 10 years. It is apparently because account has not formally been closed down so they keep charging annual fees - and if you don't pay, your credit rating may be affected - definitely getting rid of anything to do with Latitude!!

Received numerous texts over past few months . When checked number it had been reported as scam . Now received overdue official statement . Tried yo call but very suss sounding on other end of conversation so hung up . Haven’t used card for years .

Just received the same text and my account is also closed. A pity my phone won't block the sender

Checking the address shown on Reverse Australia shows a barber shop in Queensland. Latitude Financial is established in Melbourne Victoria when looking up their ABN, so probably a scam some sort.

Same here. I also got a supposed statement in the mail.

I've had three messages in the last month. Don't owe them anything. Will ignore
