Caller: Fraudsters claiming to be PayPal. Received this phishing text today; ""PayPal" You've successfully Logged into your account from Canada, on May 12, 08:35:30 (GMT+10) In case not you? call 1300 890 371 to report immediately;"
When you call the 1300 890 371 there's a recorded message stating they're PayPal and to wait for a customer service representative.
I hung up and called PayPal Australia on their real customer service number and they said this 1300890371 is not them, it's fraudsters.
Please, if you see this notice about this number, please tell your friends. Please don't fall for it. Always call PayPal and other companies on their publicly listed phone numbers, not one sent in a text message.
