Hi William, I actually contacted a Police Sgt client and he asked around at the station. Someone had heard of the magazine who was into football. However having read all of the other forums, I believe there is a business there but it appears to be a sham organisation and you won't get any results for your ads.

It is scam for sure. I received call from mobile number , saying they publish APFA journal and ask for support. He rang me three times from three different numbers. Then I told him that I decided not to advertise but direct support Australian Police Health Foundation. Then after two hours, there is a lady rang me saying she is from Australian Police Health Foundation journal , asking for donation ......Such a team work !
If you really want to support, just donate to these cancer foundation etc, dont trust these guys !

If you search their phone number up on google all sorts of sites come up. Theyre a scamming media company claiming to advertise your business for $ in their publications. The callers call from mobile phones (different number each time) which you are unable to contact back. Scamming pests!!!!!!!

I got a call from mobile no. 0424 501 500 I didn't write his name down. They sent me an invoice, with the amount increased by 10%, I assume GST, but it doesn't list that. Luckily one of my clients is a Police Sergeant. He hadn't heard of it but was going to ask around next week. Then I googled it and found this. Their website looks legit...

Just received a call asking for support for the APFA. Had no idea what the "Do not call" register was - unlikely for a professional marketer (although I note it does not apply to charities). Rudely hung whilst I was talking once he knew I was not playing ball

Same thing happened here, thought yeah id look into it then the magazine - then it turned up in the mail with our business in it (with the wrong phone number!) with a picture they had obviously got off our website demanding payment for $544 for the advert. Even if it was legit, I wouldn't pay for it simply because why would I pay for a advert that has the wrong number on it! Ever since then I get numerous calls for different magazines which i totally ignore. Whenever I email or even post in all the copies of crap they send me saying Im not paying anything for it because of the wrong number they put on the ad - they never ever get back to me. I would say they are quite dodgy!

I too was pressured even when i said no!! i never opened the information attachment to set out my add so i was thinking they would leave it, and me alone because i stressed that i was struggling to pay my mortgage.
loads of posted bills urging me to start payments or pay in full next thing i get the mag decide to flick through and read it , there right infant of my eyes is an add for my business with font and design they have obviously come up with ? how can they do this? I've got all my rates, phone, etc on extensions cause i don't have money then some dude who sounded like the same guy said he was from the fire team friends of the institute for police wants me to help him this is just wrong ;(

The Aipol Magazine is a scam , if you show your local police station a copy of email they send u , they will never of heard of Magazine plus I have been told that the adds are run in country's throughout South East Asia , nz & the United kingdom , steer clear of this as it will cost you thousands of dollars

Australiasian Institute of Policing.
I don't think they're officially affiliated with the police in any way.
Called me from a mobile number 0401 331 576), requesting advertising in the magazine. I asked for a number to call back, and he gave me 1300 855 444.
Claimed he had a readership of 2000 in my area. I doubt that.
Probably not a scam per-se, but not a magazine I've ever heard of (or relevant to my business).

I'd also like to know if it's a SCAM? For starters I find it strange if it's for australian institute for policing but they only have a .org domain name for it, not a .org.au, the website seems completely dodgy and unprofessional and the guy was really pressuring me to sign up and commit, and made a big deal when I was just asking basic questions that any sane person would do before agreeing to paying a random person on the telephone. Reeks of dodgyness to me.
Do you have a comment about Emergency Media Pty Ltd or 1300 855 444?
