Caller: Randy White

Got the alert on my computer with the Microsoft warning, unfortunately I called this number and got Randy, haha, Logmeinrescue applied, he had about 40 minutes on my computer and it timed out. Total scam going to report this to Police. Thinking twice about using facebook now, as I was on it at the time. My computer skills are now better!!

got alert on computer say Microsoft needs to be contacted on number on screen and computer is blocked. A person named Robert answered. He sounded Indian. He then put onto Sandra (she, too sounded Indian employee number MSC866585) who convinced me she needed to access my computer remotely. A window with a white cross on a blue background appeared with the name LogMeInRescue. After a while Sandra said I need to purchase an app that would fix all the problems. I told her I had no money. That I had been scammed before and my son now controlled my finances. She said she could not help me then, and disappeared. There is a red cross at the top of the window, which revokes Sandra's access - I hope....

my mother clicked on a link on Facebook and her computer froze with a Microsoft screen saying to call this number. I looked up the Microsoft number on my phone and it was nothing like the number stating to call. I told my mother to ctl, alt delete and end the task. I am 100 percent this was a scam

Called number but believe it went to a mobile with foreigner I could hardly understand asking me to give him remote control of my computer. I queried it and he said he'd get me to be able to chat on computer with them if I did it. No way Jose. Fortunately I'm not that ignorant and hung up. Did Ctr, Alt, Del. and closed computer. I had in my mind 'why didn't my chosen security give me an alert'. Think I saved my bacon.
