A message appeared on my chrome for me to ring this number. It was supposedly to Telsra because serious vulnerabilities on my computer. pretty sure it was a scam number

Just happened to me too, so I did research on the number from the screen. Thanks for sharing so we don't get scammed.

Caller: Indian person called 'JAMES'

Happened to a friend, he called the number then called me, told him to unplug computer. The demand was $430 to fix and can pay through BPAY!!! Rang the banks to freeze accounts and cancelled cards. BE WARNED THIS IS A SCAM!!!

Alarm sounded continuously. Computer froze . Had to call Microsoft on this no.
Microsoft person said he had to remotely access my computer! Had son in law on other line. Microsoft guy hung up immediately.

A so called Microsoft Message appeared & blocked my screen to ring a 1300 Toll free number - A man stated that Windows 10had this security feature built into the program. They wanted access to my computer to fix and remove - I shutdown the computer as I did not trust this service.
