Just checked my messages from during the night. 18 sms messages all the same message with different codes. Verification code for 20mins.

I got 97 messages overnight as a SMS message with different verification numbers this is an example of the text : 8xxxxx is your verification code. This code is valid for 20min. If you didn't expect this SMS please call 1300 10 1234 (9am-7pm Mon-Fri, 10am-4pm Sat-Sun AEST). I am calling Woolworths head office this is not acceptable

95 text messages from 1.30am. Some code that is valid for 20 minutes. Very annoying.

I received 20 text from 12:29 am to 12:33am I believe this is a scam

I stated receiving text message at 4.39AM from EDRewards. After getting 8 i had to turn me phone off. When i turned my phone on again at 6.39am i received another 23.

EDRewards - Just received 29 txt messages in the space of 5 minutes regarding a verification code that is valid for 20 min. I don't even have a woolies card.

This is genuine. Someone tried to log into my rewards account. This is the two step verification.

The verification number sent to me about 8+ hours ago is 350171. Ph 1300 10 1234. You'd have to be bloody silly to respond to this. Is much like playing Russian roulette with no empty chambers

Text asking to confirm my address to send a bill but I have no accounts with woolworths.

Update: This is Woolworths Everyday Rewards.
I wrote earlier (can't currently see my earlier message) that it was unsolicited, but on double-checking, realise it was from linking the EDR card to a Big W online account earlier. Woops!

Just confirmed this by requesting a verification code and it came from the same number.

(They have a new login system where you can request a code before (instead of) putting in a password. I wonder if this is why some people are getting messages when not trying to log in?)

"If you didn't expect this SMS please call 1300 10 1234" - Why? That's not something any legit verification message requests.

Just had 2 messages within 2 minutes, same crap! Ignored and deletedmessages. Risky I think

I received 4 within 3 mins

Two messages received with verification codes valid for 20 minute each, ask to call 1300 101 234 if the codes are not expected.
