Parents received a call from this number claiming debt from a car accident over 1 yr ago. Details were exchange at the scene calmly. No argument. Damaged was minimal, if any. No contact has been made until now and these people claim they have been sending correspondence about this previously to an address they found on google (which was nowhere near us). What professional company uses google to find details?! And name ph and address were supplied at the scene. I call hoax/scam.

I received a call no caller ID, from a lady called Ofe stating she was from AAMI claims acting on my behalf on a past claim I had with another party. When I asked her the claim number, she was unable to provide that for privacy reasons. She then went on to ask me for information regarding the claim.

I told her I was not comfortable providing information on a claim that she was not able to confirm. I then told her that I would call AAMI back and then speak regarding my past claim. She sent me a "text to the number she had called" and provided me with the following text (from 0439 455 875) "Please call OFEHINA on 1300 074 359 and quote ref#: 7numbers#1.

I called AMMI (phone no. from my policy document) who confirmed there were no notes on my policy regarding the call.

Caller: RecoveriesCorp/Zurich

Had all my details from an accident that occurred 2 years ago. Everything went through insurance and was dealt with. Tried to claim the insurance lost the claim and that i owed $5000. Not sure how they got my details but my life is currently stressful enough without that nearly causing me a nervous breakdown. Dont know how they sleep at night scaring people like that. Dont trust it, they suck a**hole

Recoveriescorp is a legitimate Australian debt collection and Insurance claim recovery company that recoverers outstanding amounts and debts on behalf of Australian Government Agencies, Banks, Insurance companies, utility companies and telcos. Yes love, Recoveriescorp does act on behalf of blah blah blah, except 1300 074 359 does not belong to them, but I guess you know that already? Please don't try legitimise your hoax and please get off this site.

i received a text message from 0458 030 632 saying that i should "...call 1300 074 359, ...to finalise the matter"
indian guy wanted me to pay $1700 from an accident that occurred 5 months ago! Which i already had payed everything for and the situation was dealt with 5 months ago
scammers were asking me to confirm my details and asking if i can make a payment today...

Same situation as above. Said they were from a Recoveriescorp. Although I have NO outstanding debts, I quoted the number they texted me to see who they were. I stupidly confirmed my name. Luckily I didn't give them any more info. Problem is that they have texted me again this time mining my Contacts App pretending to be an organisation I know. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS NUMBER!!!

I got an SMS to "Please call MOSESE on ... this 1300 number ..." Naturally, I did not call them. The SMS came from 0408 285 308.

Caller: It was a letter not call

Received a letter from Recoveriescorp for an accident which never occurred. The first letter looked very dodgy, black and white photocopy and just suspicious looking in general. The accident supposedly happened over a year ago, but no correspondence was provided during this time, and when we received the letter no accident details were included. I called the number provided and the agent proceeded to try and collect my personal details, interestingly the name was spelt incorrectly in the letter and talked about our rental / company car being involved in an accident - we actually don't have / or have used a rental car. Also the address and phone number in letter do not match details on the Recoveriescorp website either.

Caller: Got SMS from Elizaberth...note deliberate spelling error in the name.

Got SMS from 0476 857 363 last week with one different ref number to this weeks attempt from a different mobile which unfortunately i deleted.

I called 1300 074 359 and spoke to a lady who asked for my details. I told her that since her company contacted me they should have my details and can see my number on her screen

I told her that 100 per cent of the time any business from any company claiming to be debt collectors is done in writing and may follow up with telephone casll/s. I told her that I only conduct my business in writing and that this is the oly way.

I indicated that that if I was contacted again by this company I would treat it as harassment and involve the police.

Lady did not have much to say after that.

I believe that this company tries their luck on unsuspecting people years after issues have been resolved.

Similar happened to me. In my case, i suspect a prejudiced/racist cop leaked my number to a greedy psycho dude that was at the scene. Good thing i had other unrelated way more important matters to attend to or id have got legal aid (public defender) and sued their asses.

Same issue here. They have been chasing me for about 5 years for an accident which was resolved with my insurance. letters, Therats, phone calls. They bought the big guns out about 18 months ago and threatened legal action. Nothing happened of course. i am annoyed but worrried that some people might fall for this crap. it’s reprehensible to harass me over a completely fabricated issue.

Called by accented woman claiming to be 'Jade' from 'Auto General Insurance' about a motor vehicle incident, saying I was a contact on my wife's insurance policy. Required my full name, date of birth and residential and email addresses before she could tell me more, which I refused to provide. Sent me an SMS from 0439 455 875 giving me this 1300 074 359 number to call and to quote a reference number (that partially matched an old claim that had been settled). Called Auto & General Insurance - no evidence that anyone had accessed the file or had called me, no 'Jade' was known to them, and nothing on the file that required attention. Possible identity phishing or attempt to defraud.

For context, the phone number "7748283" spells "private" on a alpha numeric keypad, these guys are pretending to be from a debt recoveries company with regard to a traffic accident over 6 months ago. Claim was closed, so these buggers provide no name, a different number 1300 074 359 to call them back on with a supposed "claim number". The original claim was from a 'legit'? debt collecting company working abroad (so maybe not so legit after all) , but someone has leaked my name and number to scammers.

Have received a few phone calls from mobile no's: 0485 901 091, 0485 901 098, 0485 901 098, 0485 901 090 over the past month, I asked them to send me a text instead rather than call me all the time but nothing, I tried to call them back on one of the mobile no's I missed and it went straight to a call centre, then I received a call today from another mob no 0403 822 327) telling me to call WAISAKE on 1300 074 359 and quote ref no 1545829#1. I googled the no and lo behold it brought me to this webpage. I googled WAISAKE and it didn't bring up anything to do with debt collectors or money, just another bs scam

I got a call from recoveriescorp in 2021 and an Indian accent guy said I had to pay for the car accident of 2019 which I already made a payment. I asked the guy the accident's details like exact date, plate number and car model but the guy couln't provide any of these and said he couldn't disclose these informations because of privacy reason. I said then it's the end of the story and hung off the phone. They rang me so many times a day for the next few days and I blocked the number and reported spam.

Then they didn't call me until a few days ago in 2024. Now I still getting a call from them but this time with a private number so I can't block the number! So annoying!

When I got a call from them in 2021 my friend said the recoveriescorp already put an warning sign on their website to be careful as there were lots of complaints and reports about these and the recoveriescorp confirmed these SMS and phone calls are scam.

My husband received an sms in the middle of the night about debt recovery for an accident. I'm glad I googled the number and found all the above information. My husband has been getting phone calls about debt recovery for weeks on end. We even contacted nrma to see if our cars had been reported to be involved in an accident. Of course they hadn't.

Have called me almost daily since 4th April 2024. Always with is First Name Last Name available (it's my younger brother's name) and i say no, and tell them to stop calling me. I've answered a few times now, as it's always off a private number and sometimes I get legit calls from businesses off a private number, but so far it's been this is Name (always a different name, always female so far) from Insurance Australia, is FirstName LastName there? Last time i spoke with them i said please stop calling me, this is clearly not his phone number and they said if you provide his phone number, we will stop calling. No chance I'd do that so just told them to go away and hung up. This latest call today, I asked for their ABN and a phone number to call back on. They took about a minute to get the ABN to me with lots of uhhh um's and gave me 19 052 138 799. They then gave me 1300 074 359 as the number to call back and that's all they'd give me. No reference number for the call, his name would be enough for them to pull up his file. What a load of bollocks.
