I got a phone call from this number and at first, I thought this is a scam. But it left the message to contact Intellihub at 1800 531 772. so, I called that number and turned out that this is a real call from intellihub to upgrade my meter box. Not a scam. This is from Intellihub

Claimed to be calling on behalf of Origin to install a Smart Meter at our property and needed me to confirm details. South African lady. I asked her why I hadn’t received an email and postal notice regarding this and she couldn’t explain just said she doesn’t know and she is sorry. I told her I suspect this is a scam call and she said Thankyou and hung up on me! This is getting way out of control! Someone would easily be sucked into this rubbish, it’s terrible!

Wanted details in order to upgrade ACTEW AGL meter. Evssive when asked for his details. I indicated I expected written contact from ACTEW AGL. Suspiciously scammy, thus this post.

I had the same call twice but saying they were from Intellibub & that the meter wants changing because it is faulty. They said they got notification from our electrical provider. But our electrical provider knew nothing about it. Also if there was something wrong with our meter why are we still getting our electric bills?

It’s Intellihub, the 3rd party company that replaces the old meter by digital meter for AGL. I had requested the meter change and they called me to schedule it. They didn’t come and they called to schedule it again.

Not a scam call, I had requested my electricity provider to upgrade me to a digital meter, this is the supplier of the upgrade. In some cases, the provider may decide to do this themselves.

This number was used legitimately to call me & I also called the company back on this number. The company is Intellihub regarding changing my electricity meter to a smart meter.

This is a valid number from Intellihub. They deal with changing the electric meters. Our Account is with Energy Australia which notified us by email that the meter would be changed on a specific date. When this number first tried to reach me I presumed it was spam. IT IS NOT! Because I hadn't accepted the call, the change in the meter was cancelled. A month later the process started again with Energy Australia's new email notice. This caller tried again, and again my phone indicated spam. After I researched online a bit I decided to phone them back. It is a VALID number from Intellihub.

This is a valid phone number from Intellihub Australia concerning the upgrade/replacement of the electricity meter; seeking to confirm the appointment date which we received by email. Our carrier (source of the email) is EnergyAustralia, but Intellihub is the company actually handling the meter replacements.

But however 💯 I live in block of units, ifs they'd needed to change the whole block of units metres and then 🙄 needed to ask housing services in nsw perspective for permission to do so
