Just received another call from solar solutions. I have told them numerous times that we have solar panels and am not interested. I am now looking at this as being harassment but don't know how to stop it. We are on the no call register.

No, normally go along with it and let them carry on and get all excited, then I tell them that where I live there is no sun

Just got a call from Solar Solutions. Probably my tenth call in the last 6 months. Always a woman with an accent! Told them I wasn't interested but obviously they must be just doing their job of cold calling. The calls seem to come from overseas. Is there a way of stopping them?

Yup, they just called me. He started off asking if i have received my free lights. I simply replied that his obviously not from Australia, because no one in Australia uses lights, we do not have electricity and everyone uses candles. He hung up and i continued to giggle.

Telephone number: 12102490540 is an International scam caller. This telephone number may also appear with zeros in the prefix eg. 0012102490540. The have called myself this afternoon and I live in Victoria Australia. The caller asked: "Have you received your free LED lights?" My reply was: "Yes". Caller asked: "When?". I replied: "Last week". Caller thanked me and hung up.
There are no free lights to be given, clearly this is a scam callcenter and others say callers vary in accents from asian, indian and other thick accents. Other receivers to these type of telephone calls have posted various scam calls from this number including: the Windows Microsoft Virus SCAM "we need to access your computer.. are you sitting in front of your computer now?".
Since 2007 other countries had also been receiving these scam calls with similar complaints included the UK and US. Other receivers to these call scams say that: "I know this is a phone from San Antonio, Texas" but we can't be sure.
I don't think theres anything more you could do other than to make sure you number is in the Australian DO NOT CALL Register. Keep in mind that since these calls appear to originate from overseas they do not have to abide with the "opt out of receiving most unsolicited telemarketing calls and faxes".
When the scam callers ask you for solar panels, LED lights, Windows Microsoft Virus etc. just reply that you already have them and they arrived 'last week'. because if you already have these items that they're trying to scam on to you than hopefully they will stop pressuring you with these type of scam calls.

Four phone calls in less than an hour. Finally answered the fourth call. Heavily accented man said he was ringing about free LED downlights from the Victorian government. Clearly he was nowhere near Victoria. I said that I didn't have any downlights and asked to be put on their "DO NOT CALL" list. Sick of these people!

12102490540 just called and claimed he was from my bank and that that they had overcharged me. The phone was indicating it was an overseas call from 12102490540 so I asked him why he was calling from overseas which he said he wasn't and he eventually hung up. I was half expecting a call from my bank overseas (they don't have any call ctr's or branches overseas) as I had a call a couple of weeks ago that seemed to be fishing for information and it was there I divulged my banks name.

This number has called several times claiming to be Solar Solutions and several other scam organisations. This time at 8:10 pm, hung up when we answered. We are on the "Do Not Call Register", for all the good that does. How many times can they call, be told they are breaking the law, and still continue with their garbage!

I had a call from this number claiming to be from SOLAR SOLUTIONS, INDIA. The caller had an indian accent and wenton to say something about the government rebate on having solar panels installed. This was a scam. I got very cross with him and told him that not only do I already have solar panels but they call me just about every week. When he wouldnt hang up I began to abuse him and asked to stop calling.
These scam callers change their telephone numbers so it looks like its different company calling every time. Im not gullable.
DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO TRIES TO SELL YOU SOMETHING OVER THE PHONE.
I wish the Australian government would do something to block these scam callers. And even create a new international law to make it a criminal offence for these scammers.

Heavily accented voice just rang showed as being OVERSEAS 12102490540, asking me to confirm that a family member had been in a car accident in the last year. Knew it was a scam as soon as I answered. When I asked them to tell me what car it was they hung up.
