Called me during work hours on the reception phone, did my spiel and by the time I finished they had hung up (probably 1 second in). Probably just checking what hours we are active or something like that.

Once a day now. I don't care who they are if they do not have the courtesy to leave a message and constantly call that is clearly a nuisance call bordering on harassment.

Said was raising money for domestic violence m. I have a daughter has has been through that so I gave them my credit card details. Calling the bank

Nobody there when you answer just a scam

No voice mail, caller rang 2 days in a row. End up blocking it.

As usual. Nobody there. It is about time our telecom industry did something to stop these nuisance calls

I have a rule of thumb, if it is a legitimate call to me then they have other contact details for me to get in touch. Even on the mobile phone, if it is legitimate and I don't recognise their number then they will leave a message if important. Our politicians are a gutless lot. They exempted charities (& political parties!!!!) from the "do not call' registry and hence they can keep ringing our numbers even if we have signed up for the "Do Not Call" registry.

Rang the number back at 8pm. Went to their message bank and it was a charity and the message actually identified a person. If they are after donations why don't they stay on the line for the initial call that they instigate rather than hang up after only a few rings????? All seems strange to me.
If I was canvassing donations, I'd call, let it ring for the maximum number of rings and then if it gets answered do my best sales pitch to get the donation. Don't know what their modus operandi really ir????

Probably criminals checking to see if anybody is home.

They keep ringing my home number but as soon as the answering machine answers they hang up? Must be a scam for sure

Damn nuisance callers, these mongrels ring all hours and never leave a message, Block the number and the next time it a digit or two different Block them again. If this was a reputable company they wouldn't hound you day in and day out. I have been getting this since a so called Charity Survey, now get hounded by the horrible people who don't have the decency to leave a message just ring back and annoy people
