Scammer, another number reported to "Do Not Call Register" & blocked.

Answered, silence. Assume spam call.

No idea who called - not a word spoken. Not the first time either. If it were a "real" call somebody would try to talk to me at least. Are you suffering from boredom? Call someone and don't talk to them!!

Rang me but there was no one on the other end. Similar to many other comments.

No-one spoke when I answered this call. Presumably scam of some kind.

I called back within minutes.....got an answer saying that they are one of Australia's biggest charities, but unable to speak to me at the moment????

Caller: Likely a telemarketer

Even if you register your number on the 'Do Not Call Register', exempt organisations can still ring you. As per the DNC register website "These include registered charities, research companies, registered political parties and educational institutions."

If you answer a call and hear silence it’s because it’s a scammer or a call centre of some type. They use a computer to do random call generators, literally calling thousands of numbers. Some may be valid numbers, some not. If you answer the delay you hear is the call being transferred from the computer dialer to a person in a scam or legit call centre. So if you do answer and hear a few seconds of silence, hang up.

Called number got recorded message. One of Australia's leading fund raisers but unable to take my call at the moment. Will get back to me asap

Came through on mobile as a suspected spam. Did not answer, number now blocked.

5.20pm EST Qld. Did not answer, always look at the number before I pick up and we know anyone in WA or NT

spam !! I have had 3 in 2 days and my wife has 1 not all the same number, same story about a parcel being on it's way, no tracking number or id but an unfamiliar web address. My daughter has had them also, she rang and a recorded message saying she needed to pay a fee to get the parcel out of the warehouse, these scumbags have nothing better to do, so don't fall for it
