Caller: Australian Tax office

I've seen few people that have commented and we all seem to have received the call on the same day some most likely at the same time

Scam ! Complete waste of time

Bogus computer generated voice recorded Aust Tax Office call at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Demanded I call back immediately to avoid legal action. I think it was a fake phishing call- don't you?

Automated message saying I will be arrested

ATO scam - recorded message threatening arrest

Caller: Scammer

Leaves message saying legal action against me. Must call back, if I don’t return the call I’ll be arrested.
It’s so funny it’s pathetic.
Robot/ automated voice seems legit ...

Caller: They said they were the Australian tax office

Is this correct or is it a scam
