i got a similar call from this number and i answered the call but there was a recorded message from an automated system that asked me to call the ATO giving me a reference number and saying that "if we don't hear a call from you, we will have to issue an arrest warrant under your name and get you arrested so get back to us as soon as possible."

I also got this number just now. Ignore straightway, please come and arrest me if anything wrong. hahaha

ATO scam. Spoke with two people and they hung up once challenged.

I received the same message, a robotic voice saying if I didn’t call them back they’d issue an arrest warrant. I think it’s a scam. Didn’t say who they were or what they were for all calling about.

I received this call this missed call this morning, rang the number back and the guy Morgan proceeded to tell me he was from the ATO quoted a large number of legitimate sections and articles of the Tax law and I had unpaid tax debt from 2016-2017 financial year. It wasnt until he claimed that the call was going to recorded and lodged with Immigration and coastal guards that I had concerns. Said I was going to call the ATO canberra to confirm and politely hung up.
This is definitely a scam! dont give out any information or confirm your details
