3 calls so far and it's only noon. All the same about turning internet off and press 1 to talk to a (scammer) operator or 2 to disconnect the internet. Also says it is to do with the NBN. First 2 were male recorded voices and the third was a male recorded message.

Called Telstra and played back the message that was left on my answering machine “ From today onward to fix up the problem please press 1 to connect with Telstra, if you wish to disconnect your internet press 2”. They said it’s a hoax they don’t call their customers.

They just want to demand money for a service that they never provided. Don’t trust these scammers.

Caller: Apparently Telstra

We are a business, not residential - Recorded voice stating it's Telstra and then threaten to cut off our internet with the option to press 1 to get connected and 2 to disconnect our internet. Had 3 calls today, third call I pressed 1 and got an off shore call centre, the guy said "Hello, thank you for calling Telstra." I replied that I hadn't and that they had called me! He started to waffle on about our internet being dodgy and needed testing, I played along for a bit and said "Oh My, what should I do? What do I need to do?" with some urgency and concern in my voice. He stammered for a bit then said we needed to check the lights and that it's this and that and this..I said "No it's not, it's because you're full of sh1t!" and hung up

Robotic voice claiming to be from Telstra and that our internet would be disconnected. Press 1 to speak to Telstra and 2 to disconnect!! Really??! Pushing a button on your phone disconnects your internet??!!! It's getting beyond a joke...we have so many of these calls....if someone says they are from Telstra, NBN, Optus, Vodafone, a random phone company, a random marketing or website company or your phone number starts with "02" or "03" be prepared to have the phone slammed immediately!
