We are a doctors surgery and have been getting phone calls from this number for the past few months and when you answer there is just a tone

Called business number. Same as original poster. Beeping noises every few seconds no sign of an actual person on the phone.

Received multiple calls from this number on my home phone. Never leaves a human voice message, but it is obviously a machine as sometimes the answering machine picks it up and you can hear the beeps of some sort of computer system as if you're on hold. It's not a fax tone.
