Received a call regarding an accident I never had blah blah blah

It seems these company’s are now accessing or piggy backing onto local area numbers in the hope you pick up.

I managed to keep him talking for 5 mins and he gained no info so he hung up on me in frustration. I pity those that fall for this scam.

Caller: JB Solicitors

Said to go to their Web site, rang asking about an accident that I supposedly had. lots of noise in the background sounds like the Telemarketer. I did google them and straight away a chat box opened - I would imagine if you go onto that maybe they can compromise your PC?

If you've had any sort of dealings with the major insurance companies using Indian call centres, you will find your details get leaked out to this guy who then uses your phone number and tries to scam you.

I did not answer, they did not leave a msg. I believe what has already been posted here - a scammer

Had a call from this number which is an unusual number for WA, however, I couldn't get to the phone so I didn't answer. Should they call again I now will know what they are about.

I believe that the Call Centres now located in India, Phillipines and South Africa for Telephone carriers are selling our personal information.

Got a strong feeling there is a leak from the NRMA India call centre. Started getting these dodgy calls only after I gave NRMA my private number in relation to a 3rd party claim.

Received a call regarding an accident l'm supose to have been involved in. Asked him where,when and who was involved and when and where it was reported to police. Got no answer as he hung up rather quickly.

More bulls**t phone calls, why can't the authorities stop this rubbish.

Regarding accident I supposedly had. This is the second call from these scammers. Told him to engage in some "Sex & Travel" & hung up.

Calling on behalf of insurance co? Said I had an accident? Flustered him with questions and he hung up. What are they trying to achieve?

Caller: Pretending to be from JB Solicitor's in Perth on behalf of Insurance Commission of WA

Rang regarding a car accident I had but knew none of the details. Said I would be getting compensation payout for inconvenience, from the other party's insurance company.

Called about a car accident and insurance admits liability. Will pay me $15000. I said if he has my number he has my address so to mail the cheque. He hung up

My answering machine picked up this caller who hung up at end of my machine message. then caller left a high pitched whistle on my phone and only stopped after I picked my phone up and then replaced it on its stand.

Same thing to me this morning. As soon as he asked me about whether I had had an accident I hung up

Car Insurance Scam. I got another call 90 minutes later! Decided to have some fun with this loser so I gave all fake info and told him I had 10 car accidents. Wasted about 20 minutes of his time. I bet he thought it was Christmases 10X over LOL!!!

Called me twice in the space of five minutes. Strong Indian accent, investigating an accident I haven't had. Fortunately my phone allows me to bar numbers from calling me.

I told him I died. Freaked out he was and hung up. Slightly superstitious he was. Works all the time.

said he was ringing about a car accident I had within the last year. I have not had any accidents so I knew this was a scam then hung up.
