Caller: Scam

Same thing as everyone else. They said they have detected some problem with my Telstra connection when I don’t have Telstra at my place. Did not give any contact number and said they were calling thru satellite!!

Caller claiming to be from Telstra stating wanted to fix my computer problems. When I told her this was a well known scam she became argumentative and abusive.

Caller: Background noise indicates it is a call centre

Similar experience. Multiple calls from the number, no message left. When I answered foreign male voice just saying Hello, hello but lots of other voices in the background male and female like a call centre. I listened for a while, hung up and put block caller on the number in my phone.

Caller: "Telstra Technical Department" (Scammer)

Claimed they were from Telstra Technical department. (They're not) without confirming any account details, or knowledge of what my system was or how it was infected, asked me to download Teamviewer and Anydesk. Asked for a phone number I could call back on, completely different to caller ID. Sent details to Telstra Scam report. If you can, get their contact number(s) and report it.

They've rung 3 times today. I don't answer.

I've been called twice today - no idea who they are - don't leave messages. Called them back but the number just fails.

I got a call from them today - saying they were from Telstra and there was a problem with internet modem. I knew that they were a hoax - so I played dumb and kept them on the line for as long as I could. They tried to get me to use Team Viewers so they could access my computer remotely. They hung up after saying I didn't have a credit card to pay their $5.99 technician visit that they were scheduling for Saturday. These scammers should be stopped!

They are calling once or twice a day. This is a scam.

Called back it is engaged. Hangs up when you answer. Rings anytime of day & night.

Repeated calls from this number at random times, no response when answered. Trace says the call originates from The SirJoseph Banks group of islands off the South Australian coast. Pretty sure there is no phone line, even to the one island which has a few holiday shacks.
